market. New items will be added to the list periodically. At this moment payments by checks, bank transfers, Western Union and Moneygram money transfers as well as International Postal Money Orders (all in US dollars) are acceptable for all items listed.
(video compact discs) are very popular in Asia. The quality of the picture is at least as good as that of VHS tapes. All are narrated in standard Chinese (Mandarin/Putonghua), some also have narration in Cantonese. They can be played on PCs and iMacs with CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drives and software like Windows Media Player or similar. Most DVD players can also play VCDs, but I would suggest that you first check the manual. To learn more about VCDs and download free VCD playing software click here.
offered are all NTSC without area limitation - can be played on any DVD player all over the world. They contain subtitles in simplified and traditional Chinese, as well as in ENGLISH. Many of them are also narrated in both Chinese and ENGLISH. Instructional VCDs and DVDs provide clear instructions, which can be easily followed even if you do not understand the language.
If you are interested in any of the products, please contact me by email with the list of items you would like to order. You will receive detailed information concerning both shipping costs and payment methods. | Xiao Tieseng: "Internal Martial Arts of Xiao Family - Imperial Yang Style Taijiquan" set of VCDs: | ||
|
Items XTS1-11
|
Internal Martial Arts of Xiao Family include Yang Style Taijiquan, Bagua and Xingyi. It was Xiao Gongzhuo, who became famous for his skills in internal martial arts and started the tradition of teaching them within the clan. Xiao Gongzhuo practiced martial arts since childhood under guidance of his father, late Qing dynasty military official. At the age of sixteen he started to learn Chinese wrestling and Shaolin Boxing from Zhang Fengyan; later he studied Cheng style Baguazhang from Li Wenbiao, Tongbei Boxing from Zhan Ce (nicknamed "Divine Hand"), Hao style Taijiquan from Hao Weizhen, Li style Taijiquan from Li Ruidong, as well as very rare Funei (Imperial) branch of Yang style Taijiquan from Fu Jiechen. This set of VCDs is presented by Xiao Tieseng, son of Xiao Gongzhuo and current inheritor of the style; it focuses on Imperial Yang style Taijiquan. According to practitioners of this style this was the original art that Yang Luchan taught just after he arrived to Beijing, and which included ten sets. The versions popular now were all modified by Yang Banhou (Yang Luchan's son), who was upset that his father taught the complete art openly, and decided to spread a trimmed version that had only one Large Frame set. While this story is hard to verify, this set presents a rare version of Yang style and introduces many methods not existing in its more popular branches: 1.Wudang Health Preserving Methods (Wudang
Yangsheng Gongfa,
set of exercises improving balance, flexibility and developing internal
power; include Small Internal Method, Five Elements Methods, etc.); (1
disc/1 box), USD9.00 (Sh&H not included) Note: Entire set (16 discs/13 boxes) is sold for discounted price of USD128.00 (costs of Handling and Shipping by Airmail INCLUDED). |
