Yang Style Taijiquan was created in 19th century by Yang Luchan nicknamed "Invincible". Pushing Hands (Tui Shou) is a practice method, a transitional stage from individual Taijiquan routine practice to controlled - and later combat - fighting. The goal is to learn the proper ways to respond to opponent's power, "feel" his power, stay rooted and maintain relaxed body frame. It also allows to correct one's own mistakes that are hard to spot during routine practice. This set shows Pushing Hands in both fixed and moving steps. Natural Boxing (Zi Ran Men, Natural Style, Natural Gate) is a rare internal martial art, known for its combat effectiveness. Its methods are not based on set patterns, but rather creating fighting ability through practice of basics, which not only develops external skills, but first of all builds strong internal foundation - vitality, internal energy, spirit. In practice this means developing reflexes, courage, both physical and psychological attributes that make one a good fighter. The style has Taoist roots and became known because of Du Xinwu, bodyguard to Sun Yat-sen, the first president of Republic of China. Du's most famous disciple was late Wan Laisheng (1902-1992), who gained his fame during fighting competitions in 1930. Originally trained in Shaolin Six Harmonies Boxing as well as Luohan Boxing, Wan became famous for his skills in Natural Boxing and has has spread this rare style in China. This one of the most complete video materials presenting Old Frame (Lao Jia) of Chen Style Taijiquan as taught by Chen Zhaopei has finally been released on DVDs with subtitles in four languages, including English, French and Spanish. Old Frame system of Chen clan boxing is said to have been created by Chen Changxing, and was the method Yang Luchan learnt before creating his own distinctive style. Zhaobao Taijiquan is one of rare branches of the style that has been practiced mainly in Zhaobao town in Henan Province. The set presents Big Frame of Zhaobao (He Style) as passed by renowned master Zheng Boying, who became famous after winning Leitai (free fighting) Competition in 1931 in Kaifeng. Guo Shikui (one of Zheng's best disciples) taught the style to Wang Chang'an, who demonstrates the techniques on this set. The body method of the style stresses big opening and big closing, power is generated in legs, the crotch moves along curves and drives the body, and the body moves the hands. The main features of this unique style are: changing postures from extremely low to high, light and agile footwork, soft but relatively fast movements. The body moves mainly along vertical full circles. Sun style Taijiquan was created at the beginning of 20th century by Sun Lutang, famous martial artist and expert of all three internal arts. Sun began his practice of internal arts from Xingyi, later learnt Bagua and finally Wu style Taijiquan. Afterwards Sun developed his own style of Taijiquan which combines essence of Xingyi, Bagua and Taiji, and is often called "Xingyi Taijiquan". Small Frame of Chen Style Taijiquan is regarded by its practitioners as the orthodox martial art practiced by Chen clan before Large Frame was created. Its curriculum includes many rare sets (like Long Fist Boxing); some of the movement principles differ from those taught within Large Frame.
